Yao's design stands out for its unique properties. The office, situated in the world's largest single building, is a reflection of internationalization, compound, and landscape. Yao has managed to create a space that respects, empathizes, and professionally caters to its visitors, making it a unique destination in the realm of workplace design.
The YDS Office is realized through the use of various materials including wood floor, tempered glass, paint board, marble, wallpaper, stainless steel, skirting, and floor tile. Covering a total area of 240 square meters, the office is a marvel of modern, simple, and artistic design. The immersive corridor design, blending shades of gray and black, creates an illusion of time and depth, drawing the viewer's attention and concentration.
The project, which commenced in June 2020 and concluded in August 2020, was a testament to Yao's design prowess and his team's dedication. The design process was not without its challenges. One of the most creative elements of the design is the "People Space" photo wall, featuring mysterious and enthusiastic faces. This element encapsulates the designer's confidence in transforming chaotic ideas into wonderful concepts.
Yao's design philosophy is deeply rooted in the harmony between space, people, and nature. This is evident in the design of the YDS Office, where visitors can feel the beauty of natural harmony among space, people, and remote snow mountains. The revolving steps in the middle of the main hall, the open layout of the office area, and the irregular multilateral arc design on the second floor all contribute to the overall aesthetic and functional appeal of the space.
The YDS Office design has been recognized for its excellence, earning the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise, creativity, and innovation. The YDS Office, with its unique blend of art and ideal, is a deserving recipient of this accolade.
